Children's Ministry

Nurturing Young Hearts in Christ

About The Children's Ministry

Our mission is to guide young minds, aged 3 to 12, towards a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Under the dedicated leadership of Latreace McKinnie and Brandi Jackson, our ministry seeks to introduce children to Jesus Christ, helping them understand and accept Him as their Savior and Lord. We aim to foster a desire for Biblical learning, encouraging children to explore and apply God's teachings, with an emphasis on scripture memorization. Additionally, we highlight the importance of prayer, emphasizing it as a vital part of a child's spiritual development.

We believe that fellowship is essential for spiritual growth and communal worship. Therefore, our ministry promotes participation in church fellowship, allowing children to experience the joy of worship and service together. Inspired by scriptures such as Matthew 28:18-20 and Ephesians 6:4, we are committed to nurturing a strong, faith-based foundation during these formative years. Our supportive environment is designed to help children learn about God's love, fostering a lifelong commitment to living a Christ-centered life.

Looking ahead to 2026, our ministry will focus on the needs of the children and youth at Antioch while also reaching out to other families through thoughtful ministry initiatives. We plan to capture the unique needs of families within local schools, starting with those at Whiteville Elementary School. Our vision at Antioch Baptist Church is to passionately nurture these needs by fostering a supportive and transformative community. Together, we are dedicated to building strong, resilient families that empower our children to thrive and succeed in all aspects of life, promoting education, emotional well-being, and spiritual growth. Join us as we grow in faith and community, together.
